Dynamic Duo Hits the Northern MidWest....

Sharing my computer with the dynamic duo has slowed the blogging progress just a little :) But ohh what fun we have had... Started out in Minneapolis with a day of the Mall of America.. Good times again. Even without buying much, it is just the amazement of any material good you could want in one place. And if you could possibly get bored, and still have money, a theme park to boost you for round 2. Few pics below... keep in mind we were running off minimal sleep for sure!! Off to a little party, more on the weekend soon.
Introducing Amy and Carla to the yummy goodness of "the Q". Fav stop with my old work buddies and they have it in Fargo!

Little sleep plus Claires = fun photo opps.

Ohh The Joy Of....

ICE CREAM :) (well gelato, but pretty close!)

So my sisters are coming this Friday and I have started the countdown! Seeming as though I have only been here for a few weeks, and a couple of those have been within the walls of the apt unpacking boxes and another week scurrying with the Mission Team I decided today I better start scoping out fun places to take the dynamic duo. So it started with an article in the InForum news on the new Clock Tower Cafe. Within walking distance of the apt, I thought lets give it a shot.

I must admit, my grilled panini was nothing to write home about, BUT good thing I rounded the meal off with some umm umm goodness--caramel cafe chip gelato. Chocolate chips, Caramel, and Coffee all mixed with some nice cream. And man was it good!! Definitely one of my new fav stops for dessert so Amy and Carla--get ready, cause here we come...

The Three Muskateers..

As mentioned in my initial blog, I traveled up with three summer missionaries, each a student at Western Kentucky U in Bowling Green, KY. Randall (Randy), Katie (KT), and Jennifer (Jen-E) are here until the end of July/beginning of August. They have each gotten a summer job and are up here to try to stretch the hands of Mission Fargo and be Christ to the people in their circle. They have been such an amazing blessing to do life with here and it has been great to see the beginnings of their intentional living in just four short weeks. While I know I have to be careful not to get too attached to them in Fargo, they have made our transition a bit easier and so much fun! Yall are fabulous!

We do life together throughout the week, but particularly on Sunday evenings. Each Sunday night is a time for Mission Fargo's "business meeting" as well as dinner, Bible Study and recap of the week. Tonight was fabulous (although we really missed the Fishers--Happy Fathers Day John!). We started the evening out with a taco dinner, and then heard the words the Lord laid on Jeremy's heart. I love watching Jeremy do what the Lord has called him to do, and especially tonight as he presented the Word with such passion and conviction (Acts 3). While we do go to church each Sunday, often the style and message is a bit different then what I am accustomed to, so this time is definitely refreshing. We will be going through the book of Acts this summer, in preparation for the start of the upcoming church plant. Please keep Mission Fargo in your prayers, that relationships will begin (and continue for the Fishers) that would lead to the gospel.

AND side note: it just puts a cherry on top that they all THREE, yes Randy too, enjoy watching So You Think You Can Dance with Jeremy and I! (which we are doing now :) I love how each of the three missionaries are so different but yet have such a passion for making Christ known. Here are a couple pics of our team (thanks to those i stole the pics from..sorry for the quality)and the good times thus far. And of course I cannot end without saying HAPPY FATHERS DAY to my AMAZING dad! I love you!!

And The Journey Begins...

We have arrived in Fargo safely!! Thanks to my fabulous sister Amy for setting up my blog :) (ps..carla you are fabulous too!!!) Not sure how active this will be....as it took me a few minutes just to figure out where to start typing. So far we are really enjoying our time here. We arrived about three + weeks ago, with a caravan of people. Me, momma, Jeremy, and three fabulous summer missionaries made the trek together up the ohh soo exciting roads of TN, KY, IL, WI, MN, and finally ND! We did get pushed off the interstate once, but God had his hand on us and we (me and summer missionary Jen-E) were just fine. Thank you Jesus!!

I decided again that I have the most fabulous momma in the world-- as she took two weeks off to work double duty. Not only did she help us pack and move out of our third floor apt in Nashville, she also stayed with us during the visit with my in-laws in KY (which was super fun) and made the hike to unpack, construct, and decorate everything in Fargo. Seriously, she is AMAZING!! For those that have been waiting...I have attached a few pictures of the new place. I didnt get any pictures of our doorways...but they are Spanish arched and we really like them! We had a few apt mishaps right off the bat, but the carpet is torn out now from the urine smell and the four colored walls in one bedroom are now one color, so we are pretty excited! We even had to put in a window air unit it is so warm here :) I will update soon with more of the past few weeks...

Amy--the flower at the bottom is just for you...it is outside out apts.

For the Love...

Welcome to my blog! This blog is being born out of my love for my family and friends (especially my sister Amy, who may just be the one responsible for this post). Hopefully, this will be a place where I can share life with all of you as I trade in my flops for my new life here in Fargo, ND. That's what Amy is hoping anyways...
